Date Night...

Saturday night was date night! It's been a while since we had a real date night. To me it's going out to dinner and a movie, not grabbing something and plopping in front of the couch. Although, that is nice from time to time. We tried to get Star Trek tickets but they were all sold out (yeah I'm a cool girlfriend). I wouldn't say I was disappointed, lol. That meant I got to pick the movie. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past... you can't go wrong with some Matthew McConaughey. I really enjoyed the movie. I think Alberto did too because he didn't dog it the whole time. He even admitted that Matthew is a good looking guy. Hmmm, that could lead to some good times for me! Ew gross, never mind. After the movie we were feeling a bit adventurous and thought we'd try a new restaurant. We looked through the Gazette and saw a Mediterranean one that looked interesting. Now, I'm not too keen on trying new foods. It kind of scares me. So for me to actually want to try a new type of food is huge. I am surprised to admit that I actually liked it and wouldn't mind going again. Zorba's has a nice atmosphere is priced great for the amount of food you get. I ordered their Gyros and Alberto ordered their Lamb Shank. For appetizers we tried Baba Ghannouj and Spanakopita. The Baba Ghannouj was disgusting, but the Spanakopita was yummy! It was fun trying new things and maybe there will be more in my future.

Sounds like fun. I liked the movie, I didn't realize beforehand that it was going to have the "3 ghosts; past, present and future" thing.

I like both of the main actors and overall give it a thumbs up. I am going to write a review in my blog tomorrow.

P.S. I want to see the Star Trek movie.

Joey wants to watch Star Trek. I"m more meh about it. So we made a deal. Star Trek for Angels and Demons. But I think i'm getting screwed. I think he kind of wants to watch Angels and Demons. I should make him watch a chick flick with me.

Isabel - Yeah, I think you should pick a girl flick... no fun if he wants to see the same movie :)

Tracy - Alberto has semi turned me on to Star Trek. I like the Enterprise show on TV with the guy from Quantum Leap, lol. The movie really does look like it will be good.

I love Greek cuisine. Matthew McConaughey is a cool guy. The movie was predictable and corny, but what can you expect from a romantic/comedy. We'll see the Star Trek movie here soon. Now that will be enjoyable!
